StaySafe - UX/UI RESEARCH & DESIGN

As part of a five person team of UX and UI Designers we developed an application to help support, educate, and relieve evacuees fleeing disasters.

Objective

  • Discover areas of improvement based on competitive analysis of common mobile grocery shopping applications

  • Design a mid-fidelity prototype that would allow for usability testing

Problem Statement

How might we help prepare those who are experiencing a natural disaster?

How might we provide natural disaster evacuees with an organized and helpful guide on navigating the natural disaster in advance as well as in real time?

Process

  • Research

    • Interview and survey disaster victims

    • Mind maps and affinity maps

    • Analyze findings

  • User Personas

  • Journey Mapping

  • User Scenarios

  • Wire Flows

  • Wireframes

  • Prototyping

  • Testing

  • Iteration

Results

As a team, we successfully created a testable prototype that alleviates many of the pain points and distresses experienced by evacuees during stressful situations.
